COVID-19 Update

WELCOME BACK JUNE 14th, 2020!

It is time to head back to the church building! Thank You for your patience and trust in the leadership of Spring Valley Pentecostal Church. We wanted to make sure that we are prepared to receive all of you per the county and state guidelines for reopening the church.

Starting June 14, 2020, we will offer two services, the first at 9:00am followed by an 11:00am. This will allow us time to sanitize the common areas between services. For June, we are only going to offer Sunday services. We will be streaming live during the 9:00am service. We will not be able to offer Risen Student Ministries, Little Lambs, or Perfect Praise Kids Church at this time. Our goal is to open these ministries on July 5, 2020, which will give us a month of social distancing practice and allow us ample time to get these other ministries ready. Our Midweek services will continue online through June on all of our streaming platforms.

Our services will be limited to 25% of our seating capacity for us to be compliant with our county and state requirements. Therefore please register your immediate family only for the service that you wish to attend. Registration every week will open Wednesday and close on Saturday at 5:00pm, so that we can prepare the proper seating for Sunday. You can register your family on the church website at www.springvalleypentecostalchurch.com. Click on RSVP on the Home page and it will link you to eventbrite where you can register. We can also send the link to you via text, if preferred.

As a part of the CDC guidelines and recommendations, we will be taking your temperature prior to proceeding into the church. A mask must also be worn at all times. Even if you are not concerned with wearing a mask, as a Pastor, I am asking all to be considerate. Everyone's level of comfort is different. So again, we ask that you please wear a mask entering and exiting the building. We ask that you stay together with your family as you worship God.

To help ensure your health and the health of those around you, if you have symptoms, such as a fever, sore throat, a cold, shortness of breath or loss of taste, we ask that you please stay home and watch our online service. If you are running a fever of 100.4 (as per CDC consideration), you work in a facility with positive COVID-19 cases, or have been exposed by someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, we are asking that you watch our online services to help quarantine yourself and not pass anything along to those at the church. Please be considerate in that area.

If you choose to watch online and not return on June 14th, I want you to know that we bless you. I don't want there to be any guilt, worry, or condemnation for taking the extra time to return to the house of God, especially those who are elderly or those who have underlying conditions. I want you to feel comfortable. We are working through the pandemic. We have phases that we have to work through, and we are learning as we go. Again, if you are not entirely comfortable, please enjoy our online services and worship with us.

Those of you that choose to register for one of the two Sunday services. The doors will open at 8:45am and 10:45am. The doors will not be open if you arrive before the listed times. The team is getting ready as we try our best to honor social distancing. If you arrive early, we ask that you please wait in your car. As you enter the building, we are asking the ushers to seat you with your immediate family. We are asking that your family stay together and worship together. The chairs will be arranged in a social distancing seating arrangement. So, we will have limited chairs available to allow for a lot of space and air for your family to worship freely. When we dismiss the ushers will help you exit the building family by family.

The first couple of Sundays, we will not be able to engage in an altar call at the front of church. Please pray at your seats. There is no touching or laying on of hands, for your health and safety. I know that these are our Apostolic protocols and beliefs, but at this time, we are trying to keep with the social distancing practices and make sure everyone feels comfortable. We will avoid shaking hands and hugging one another at this time to avoid physical contact. Again I know that is not our traditional pentecostal lifestyle, but please keep in mind that we are still working through this pandemic and want to honor and respect everyone.

I realize this is a lot to work through, but please know that we will work through this together. We are hopeful that these restrictions and the coronavirus will pass soon.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to any of our pastoral team, Bro Mark Walters, Bro. Rico Gonzalez, Bishop Lopez or myself.

I look forward to seeing you all on June 14th! God bless all of you! May God keep us healthy, and may God keep us safe. In Jesus Name,

Pastor Williams
